Birch & Rye is a 2023 James Beard Awards Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and currently the only Russian restaurant in North America to be featured on the Michelin guide.

Chef Anya El-Wattar reimagines Russian and Eastern European dishes from her childhood through a contemporary California lens. Drawing upon traditions of foraging and fermenting, and recognized for her inclusive mission and bright fare, Chef Anya was honored as Eater SF's Chef of the Year in 2022

Current summer menus include, two decadent tasting menus - a Chef’s Five Course and a unique Vegan Tasting Menu - plus, an expanded a la carte dinner menu and popular brunch service. The restaurant also serves an excellent private label caviar service, along with a standout beverage program, which features handcrafted house-infused vodkas and a curated wine program.
